The interesting thing for Koeman is that if elections are indeed called earlier than Spring then his continuity is not guaranteed despite signing for 2 seasons, same applies irrespective if elections are not brought up sooner.

What exactly is Bartomeu achieving by ridding of Messi? Elections are near, he could resign, it's not like he can get re elected anyway. Can see why Koeman is the safe choice to come in and be the mouthpiece to tell some of the established players at club like Suarez that their time is up.
