And why would Messi want that.

If I was Messi, I'd want Bernardo Silva, Jesus in the squad and I'd want assurances Koulibaly was coming in and we weren't going to end up selling off the cake to afford the icing.

And also, there's no actual reason he needs to be included. Surely we'd just have to go out and buy another striker anyway?

Maybe. Without knowing the ins and out of the clubs finances, maybe Jesus doesn’t want to be knocked further down the pecking order and how confident Barça are in their position regards them being entitled to a fee

Losing Jesus would not be ideal but a problem I could live with if we got Messi
