At the prices quoted by the ITK guy, you'd be delighted? That's 2008 Robinho attitude, plus about 12 years in age.
Backwards thinking.

He has a shit team around him is why he is trying things under pep he plays differently I guarantee it.

Oh and it’s Messi while the opposition are all looking him we have KDB sterling Sergio Mahrez with less pressure he be brilliant for us.

Again. Still got it.
So had Vardy. 2 years younger. Knows the Prem. Get him for a third of the quoted 'messi pot'.
But he's not who people can brag about.
Robinho was.
That was then.
Players to brag about. Haaland. Mbappe.
That's where we are now.
If you're Newcastle and get taken over?
Players to brag about.
Lionel Messi.

We are 12 years past that.

Corrected for you

So the Barca elections are due 24/01, I'm not sure if that's the last day to vote or results day....either way I doubt anything will happen until the result is known.

Can he sign a pre-contract agreement outside of the window? Otherwise if we're still hanging on until summer we're crazy, dosen't matter how good he is, putting City into neutral will only harm the club.

A January agreement to come in the summer wouldn't be a bad move as it'd give us a few months to get sponsor deals sorted but, I think finally the final ship sailed on any chance of him coming this summer. Everything was aligned and it didn't happen. Call it being loyal or being a pussy..... whatever reason it was it fell flat and it's in my opinion all media white noise now.

OK, who doesn’t want to sign Messi because of his age? We’ve read your posts.

You cant blame Messi for that even if that happens. Its not him chasing us, its our executives. So our execs deserve the blame in that case, they're the ones chasing him.

Where did you get the idea that we are chasing him?? We are not chasing him. He wanted to join us last summer and it didn't happen. We don't even know what is the scenario now other than rumours by media and speculations by fanbase

He wanted to join us because we wanted him also. Messi can't just force his way here, we have to want him too.

We didn't reach out to him first, he did. Everyone had accepted he would finish his career at barca. He wanted out of Barca(quite publicly ) and lot of clubs would want one of the best player ever in their club if he was up in the transfer market . That doesn't mean we were chasing him.

I actually wonder if this languid 4-2-3-1 we are playing is in preparation for his arrival. While I think he still has a lot to offer, I don’t think he has the legs to press from the front of a 4-3-3z. Maybe Pep is expecting to need two holding midfielders to free Messi from some of the leg work so he can operate in forward places.. Mahrez is completely useless defensively so it’s a good way to take a look at what that would be like
