True, but the thread implies that all clubs have agreed never, ever to sign a player who is available because they invoked the ruling.
All clubs? What? Across each continent? I call bullshit on that purely based on the amount of professional clubs around the world.

Over 100 in this country alone, so I’d guess there must be at least 5,000 professional teams across the world. No chance they’ve all agreed. If true, what better way to break that agreement than signing Messi on a free :)

Fuck em all, especially the hateful 8 & G14

I did think it was a figure calculated on how many years he had spent at the academy. Not at all sure if first team appearances have any significance.
we got nine or ten million for Sancho plus a sell on clause. No idea if he spent longer at the academy which I’m guessing would increase the compensation to be paid.
we can’t use him as a bargaining chip due to him going anyway. But we are entitled to compensation for investing in his development.

Sancho was under contract so city can ask for what they want or refuse to sell, same position with Garcia now. The training fees apply up to 21 even if in the first team, if they leave before they are 23, nd also move to another association. Scottish clubs have taken advantage using this to get League 1 and 2 players on the cheap, as the fees depend on the tier of club and are averaged out for transfers of clubs between tiers.
