I would have thought the club will know by now or very soon, whether there is any chance or not of Messi as a target. If not is there a plan B ? I can't really think of any other galactico we could get that would pay for itself in the way Messi would.
I think defensively transfers will look after themselves, but attacking buys will have to pay for themselves. If Dzeko goes I still feel the club would like a big name up front finance allowing.
