The 8-2 defeat and not winning La Liga plus personal issues between himself and Bartomeu upset him and in a fit of pique he decides he wants out and there's his old boss at man City ( a club that's been courting him for years) ready and willing to take him. Then reality kicks in, in the form of Bartomeu playing hardball, and Messi caves in like a spoilt child.
