Just to put another spanner in the works.

The MSL season begins in March and ends in October.

So most of the season is played in Spring and Summer.

As for the rest of Autumn and Winter when there is no football, Miami is only a 3 hour flight away from New York.

I have only 2 hopes regarding Messi:
1) Messi quits Barca in June=Man City
2) Messi won’t go to MLS in 2022, that would be a huge disappointment for me, in 2 years he will be only 35, in this age PR7 plays for Juventus... and him going to retirement league where there is no UCL and no chance of winning major individual awards... that would be a disaster, it would show a lack of ambition. I love him but he would destroy his legacy forever by going to MLS at 35/36 where his biggest rival plays in one of top5 leagues, scores goals and wins trophies.
Besides international success, I want Messi to have the most goals in history of UCL and the most goals overall. If he goes to City next year, it would be possible. If he stays in Barca and then goes to MLS in young age, I will cry for a month. Or maybe longer.

Yeah man, that’s why I want him to stay in Europe for 5 years minimum. If he decides that he wants to play in US - okay (I will be massively pissed off anyway) but not before 39/40 years old please...or simply: not before Cris. in 5 years PR7 will be 41, so I don’t think he will score as many goals as he scores now.
For me that would be a shame and a frightening experience to see Leo play vs Texas farmers and Cali skateboarders while Penny fights for UCL...

moreover, Ibra is 40 and plays a crucial role in AC Milan. He went to Galaxy 2 years ago and I think it was a huge mistake because he is a top player and top players have to play in top leagues. MLS is perfect for players who are tired of playing at high level and want to relax. That is not ambicious movement if Leo does it. He has a lot to offer and I hope City signs him.

So Tim Vickery the South American ITK has today thrown everything he has at Messi going to PSG
1 maybe 2 season with his last football days being USA

He doesnt think City because its not what City want right now & do City need Lionel Messi whereas money will be spent big in other areas
He does think Naymar & the easier League will be an easy option
PSG will have to sell, move out 4-5 players to make it happen

Well yes and no. It was a weird deal. It was, however never a January/winter loan. In fact he was never a loan at all. He joined in the summer as NYCFC didn't start playing in MLS until the following year. Then, when they wanted him back in January, we kept hold of him. We were able to do this as City (despite announcing it as a loan) had actually signed Lampard on a short term contract, as his MLS contract couldn't begin until 2015.
