Would love to see him play in Blue..just frightened that he could cause disharmony earning more than say KdB and other players losing games. You couldnt give him a season to blend in given his age,he would want to play as much as possible immediately.Lets be honest..the only reason to employ a 33 yr old on massive wages, all be it historically the GOAT, is for financial benefit to the club, not a long term prospect..would seem to go against the City modus operandi of late..worried it could turn out to be similar to Sanchez at United.
Absolute tosh.

The only reason to buy him is the fact he would still be our highest scorer and highest assist producer.

He's scored more goals this season than any of our players. He would walk into the side.

Sanchez at the peak of his powers couldn't break into Barcelona's first team and his stats plummeted once he lost his pace. Messi at the peak of his powers was/is the GOAT and is still Barcelona's best player and doesn't rely on pace.

If you want a clue about whether he'll be good for the team look at the reaction of Barcelona to losing him. The presidential candidates are arguing over who will be best to convince him to stay, fans have protested in the street, Bartomeu was prepared to manipulate him to squeeze out an extra year. It's a disaster for them.

I'll be astonished if other players have a negative reaction to playing with this guy every day. What an opportunity.

So Barcelona just edited a video to look like Alba was pulled and shared this on their official account.
And the audacity of these clubs to ever question City's standing among them.
Immoral and unethical cunts.

Disgusting behavior. Bad enough if it's a fan account, but it's the official club account.

Wank stain of a club and Alba is a shithouse of highest proportions as well.

Am i being daft? what is the difference, not seeing it.

Not at all, as I said, I would love to see him in Blue, I have simply expressed concerns. Whilst the GOAT, which I accept, I dont know if he still can perform at previous levels. Even the GOAT hits a downward curve at some time ?? The truth is I dont know and leave it to people who know better than myself at the club. Thank heavens we didnt sign Sanchez, but only a decision made in retrospect. He could still be wearing a Blue shirt as we nearly signed him.Pleased the Rags lost massively rather than us. Just dont want the same to happen to City.

Heard some Bucks fans say the same last year about Brady.

I think Messi still wants it. Still wants to achieve, still wants to add to the legacy.

That can only amount to a winning combination. The guy is a winner.

If I am a player sat across from Messi in the dressing room before a Champions League final, I immediately feel confident there won't be another single player going on to that pitch who possesses more talent or more experience of delivering in the biggest of moments

It's actually quite scary what Messi can achieve with City. There is a perfect storm because other clubs won't be able to compete on or off the pitch for a couple of years.

Pep knows Messi better than anyone. He loves that kid. If he felt the player's reputation or impact would be lessened in England, he would tell him to stay put or choose an easier option.

I now Pep says some things in press conferences that you have to take with a huge pinch of salt but hasnt he on a number of occasions done just that....he has said he hopes Messi stays at Barca.

I suppose he has to say that however and not stoop the the level of publicly tapping up a player.
