In isolation it looks ridiculously generous, without seeing sponsorship deal amounts reliant on Messi being at the club it is not the full picture is it?

this is what should happen.. not play for free but to give something back to football or barcelona,
let outside sponsorship and image rights pay him to play ? does he really need the money now

any club would be daft investing in messi and giving him a 3 year deal for football reasons
he will not be ripping up tree's and winning champions league again
