I honestly dont think we are actively making a move for him., I believe the offer has been there for some time but it is down to Messi to make contact with us if he wants to come

We will be focusing now on getting kane, and rightly so

It looking like psg according to some reports. But its a piss poor league and if we meet them again in the CL we will beat them anyway ; )

Maybe it’s just the cynic in me but I feel this is all done to derail our own transfer plans

Tebas, La liga and Barca in particular must be worried about us signing Grealish and going for Kane and this puts a spanner in the works, our eyes are taken away from our main goal

The timing of the announcement just seems too coincidental that it was when we were breaking the British transfer record

Don’t believe or trust a word coming out of Spain
That's quite an imagination you have.

We have just given Grealish a big contract, big extensions for Dias, Ederson, KDB and Foden.

We want Kane, again big contract.

Can even our wealth cover Lionel for a couple of season? I have my doubts.

And please don't use the Messi generates his own money comment, I am not having that in terms of MCFC.

We have just signed Grealish, the new poster boy of the Premier league and if he is successful with us, probably the new poster boy of world football. He is now our marketing dream, not a 34 yr old fella, the kids want Jack not old man Lionel. And the kids are what the marketing man wants.
Well, I mean Messi's name would be enough for any marketing dream, but in Jack we have plenty of time to get there. With Messi maybe you get 1 good year of numbers with his quality and 1 good year of commercial boost, eventually post that 1 or maybe 2 years we'll have to be in the market all over again to fill this gap, so I think we've taken a wiser step here. Totally different scenario if Messi came last year.

It absolutely beggars belief for anybody to believe that Man City would not be in for Messi and I don't care what any journalist or ITK says about this. We are absolutely in for him. There's no possible way that the greatest and most marketable player in history comes up and we ignore him. No chance at all.

PSG team is ridiculous when they land Messi.
This probably isn't even their best team as Veratti or Wijnaldum may play centrally, reads like a team of Galacticos! Why would Mbappe want to leave that, surely they will be champions league favourites?

Do you play FIFA by any chance?

I disagree the only dream for the marketing man is NYCFC, Messi would be a cash making machine for them, for MCFC , I am not having it.

Old generation get Messi, do the kids now? I don't think so.

The kids are the ones with the cash, they are the one's this club and marketing people want and hence one of the reasons for signing Grealish.

I would imagine a lot of young ladies have become new City fans following his signing.

Any club could think that way, however if we are still in for Kane I can't see how we can sign Grealish for £100,000,000, Kane for more and fund Messi for wages that I can't begin to fathom. So is it Kane or Messi now? I just can't see how we sign all 3 of them.

You cannot be serious. Barcelona lost two hundred thousand Twitter followers the instant they announced Messi was leaving. Kids are obsessed with Messi and Ronaldo.
