The players would surely love someone of Messi’s quality at the club? You improve around talent.

From bad to worse for barca , is messi gonna stay after all this

Sid Lowe was saying on his podcast that he thinks ter Stegen might leave if they don't shape up quickly. He's really underpaid in their wage structure, and he's been delaying signing a new contract and generally been acting unimpressed with the direction of the club.

A Premier League move might give him the exposure in Germany to unseat Neuer in the Germany side as well.

Contract is up in 2021.

If that happened, it would be almost as big a loss as Messi - for all the carrying of a mediocre attack Messi does, ter Stegen bails them out usually 2 or 3 times a game with saves he's got no right to make.

It's just been said in the EL semi that Inter are pursuing Messi.
I don't think they are. It's a bit like the Sneijder to United thing in being more media suggested than real. Their ex-owner used to spout on about how they were going to sign Messi one day and their current owners are highly ambitious, so it's a lot of 2+2 makes 5 stuff over there.

Their Chinese owners projected Messi onto the Duomo in Milan as part of some corporate thing, and Messi and his dad just bought penthouses in Milan as part of a tax thing (they have Italian passports and Italy are introducing some tax incentives to Italians living abroad to bring money into the country)

Messi to Inter isn't daft as it sounds.
I think it is, we'll see, but I really can't see him playing in a Conte side, he'd be bored to tears.

As regards him and his dad buying penthouses in Milan, well if I had the money Messi has, I'd buy one there (and Paris, London, Manchester, Madrid, Lisbon, not to mention Villa's in Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Seychelles, and probably a few other places) for when I retired from football.
