Basically he’s saying he doesn’t make things up just to report “something”. There is no final agreement and the two parties are negotiating like any other typical negotiation hoping to find a common solution. A la, it’s not done as other places have been reporting.

Now he accepts a 50% reduction. Has he not got enough money? If he loved the club as he cries as much then he'd stay on for a 90% reduction.
He's used them up and spat them out. He'd sell out his own grandma if it made him money.
Part of me wonders whether Messi is delaying things out of blind optimism that somehow Barcelona can turn this around. But I suspect the inevitable is the inevitable here.
He's waiting for the best offer. Last big payday. He'll go to whoever stumps up a million a week. I fucking pray it isn't us.

That's right... agreeing to around €300 net of tax of course, per week, when he knew that they probably still couldn't afford to pay it without breaking La Liga rules.Funny way of showing it, agreeing to a 50% wage cut.
