Won't pretend I wouldn't be thrilled if we signed him but if he wanted to be here he'd be here already. He chose PSG over us when he was still at his peak, we shouldn't let him choose us now he's declining.

We didn’t go for him again when he went to psg mate

I love Messi, he is the greatest ever by all means, in previous years I wanted him as much as anything in City, BUT right now it's tricky and risky.

Yes at this age he still got 62 goals+assists this season, top 3 of Europe in that, was on top 5 in dribbles in Europe, top 5 in key passes, etc, BUT this June he will be at his 37 years(since this year was at his 36 and not 35 as media are saying), he will have completed 36 years of life and go to his 37 years of age. It's a bit too old even for the legendary Messi to play in this City-we press the opponent full force all the time- I think.

He can't press anymore as it was also the case for the last 4 years, he will alter our balances a lot. Of course he will probably bring 15+ goals and 25+ assists with Haaland there, but it's a risky move to sign a 37 years old player so it's mostly a no for me.

I'm surprised you haven't counted his training ground goals and assists as well.

Goals+assists is measured with ONE way for all.
That's the stats I gave.
If you disagree with the methodology well it's your problem actually.

Maybe Haaland's goals against Southampton should not count because they were too weak?
Maybe Messi's goals in World Cup should be multiplied by 34 because it's World Cup?
Just saying.....
