Fucking freezing here in my tent in the fields around the Aerodrome. I've ran out of corned beef and red sauce barms, my flask of coffee has gone cold and the only GOAT I've seen was the one that ran off with my wank sock.

nip in the Veterans Garage, supports a great cause and the foods great. No excuses here, only solutions.

I was wondering if the fact he's turning up for next season's training with Barca, might undermine his termination of his contract at the end of last season? Perhaps our legal posters like @projectriver can advise?

Ok some context.... Saying he didn't want to go coz of his family settled, that was the case previously.

So the tweets are out of context

I would have thought that Barca, once they calm down, would rather he left on good terms, but also would want to speak to him face to face, first & try to talk him round.

A prolonged legal battle v Messi is not good pr at all. And all they 'win' is a pissed off Messi, poisoning the dressing room for one season, who then fucks off for free anyhow after costing them 1m per week.

It doesn't make sense.

Mark my words, this is the big threat.

This is saying, "Bartomeu, sort this out in the next 48 hours, or I'm going to destroy you and everyone on the board".

Sort the transfer out and in 48hours the statement will be a long, loving letter goodbye to the fans and the club. Keep playing hardball and see what happens.

The amount of shit that Messi's camp will be sitting on after the last 5 years of mismanagement and corruption at Barcelona is enough to take everyone involved out of the club, out of the city, for life.

U mean to facilitate his departure quickly OR meet his conditions so he will do a u turn and stay??

Suspect it's a but different than when he joined Barca as well. He's probably got enough cash already for the kids to have a decent life in Manchester and I'm sure his wages would cover a few days out if need be. When he joined Barca, he could have flopped on a foreign continent. And that's without Uncle Sergio, Pep and family etc to help them settle in

When Messi moved to Barcelona he was so shy and nervous that he didn't really speak for a year. Pique jokes that he thought he was a mute.

So the move to a new continent (without his mum or sister who were still in Argentina at first) clearly was pretty traumatic and you can see why he'd be so overly sensitive to putting his kids through the same trauma.

Tickets may well be sold out, but i see week in week out there are a shed load of empty seats for lots of games. Signing Messi will guarantee a packed stadium every single home game thats for sure and might be the catalyst for expanding the NS.

Would have been the case ordinarily but do you really see full crowds being allowed in even by March/April next season?

It’s really happening isn’t it

I've personally got no interest in being the biggest club in the world. I couldn't give a fuck.

If anything, I'd rather we stayed the size we are, kept a committed fan base and still got to see the best football.

Anyone who goes to the game regularly will tell you, adding a load of tourists to the crowd numbers doesn't make for a better experience.

You might want to give Mike Ashley a bell and see if he fancies buying City.
