The backlash would be astronomical while at the same time the press would be falling over themselves to get interviews/exclusives etc - Every slimy rat would want a piece while simultaniously slagging us off under their breath.

The reaction of the other top teams and managers would be priceless!

Do you think Pep and Txixi would go for it if it was possible...there are some arguments against signing Messi IF he were available - would the club have any concerns

For me its a no brainer - if he is available you get him
 
Crazy thing is,if this did happen,it would generate money for every club we played.
Imagine the amount of armchair fans who would suddenly want to go just because they are playing City.
 
In the unlikely event Messi does arrive.

I think Pep signing a contract of the same duration as Messi does is a certainty. And you can take it to the bank.
 
Guardiola has always said he'd like Messi to finish his career at Barca.
In addition Graham Hunter thinks Messi wouldn't be able to do the running Guardiola demanda.
Put those things together and don't see this happening.
