Several clubs would pay big big money for Messi, but if his clause allows him to leave for free, City are in pole position because of Pep. I doubt it would matter if Juventus, PSG and United offered him 1.5m a week. I think he would take 300k a week at City just to play for Guardiola again. He doesn’t need the money.

If he does actually leave Barca, and I still think he wont, then I would strongly suspect that he will come to City due to his links with Pep and his friendship with Kun and we will likely offer him the best terms one way or another.

The climate might put him off and for that I would not blame him. I bet Kun has been having a word over the last few days.
