Problem is I wouldn’t want anyone to leave our club, except Gundogan. Getting rid of Mahrez wouldn’t be very nice because he’s been great but he’s the only one I can see leaving our attack IF this were to actually happen.

Seeing Messi in a City shirt would be the stuff dreams are made of. I just hope we aren’t being used in a power struggle at Barca. We need a good transfer window to close the gap on the scousers. The last thing we need is for this to drag on and on, with all our focus on this potential transfer, only to be left holding our dicks as the window closes.

Who is going to afford his wages? He's like on 750k a week after tax. You then open a can of worms breaking a wage structure and having difficulty to offload if it goes pear shaped. I guess shirt sales and sponsors would offset the cost.

Who would be favourites to sign him? Is Pep even interested? The only other club I could see signing would be PSG and using Neymar as part of the lure

His wages (assuming it's true he can leave for free) wouldn't be an issue per se, additional sponsorship and merch sales he would generate, plus the positive exposure for the club would pay for them, what might well be an issue is the smashing of the wage structure which the club have pretty much under control from what I understand.

Personally, great talent that he is, I wouldn't want him. We're built on a team ethic, not a galacticos approach, and long may that continue
