we have already lost Bravo, Sane and David Silva

Zinchenko, Ota and Garcia could also all leave....Stones is a slight possibility as well (not sure he will though)

There is talk of Gabriel Jesus leaving but i don think Pep or Txixi will want that.

With respect, we currently have £470m sat in the CFG coffers for something just like this.

As I've said, Messi needs to be taken in isolation for obvious financial reasons and complexities.

He may not even cost us much of a transfer fee if certain players are also included in the equation.

Removing the wages or Vinny, Silva, Bravo and Sane has clawed back the best part of £600k a week so far.

You only have to listen to Khaldoon's interview this evening to see City have exceptions to the desired profile we will also be bringing in.

Adding Ake and Torres has of course eaten into that 600k odd but we are still going to move on Ota and Stones I reckon. I wouldn't be surprised if something was done for a couple others as well.

Alan was a no nonsense player - he put everything into Row K - even an intended pass back to the keeper.

He would thrive in our system of playing out from the back a proper Guardiola player if ever I saw one was Alan.

I really don't want to get excited about this, Messi seems to use us every season, however it does seem like he has gone that extra step forward this time. However, its such a complex deal and such a complex issue, i can see it dragging and dragging and then eventually him getting his way with a new president and new contract.

I suspect deal of sorts been ready just in case for a while

Yeah I agree. Although that leaves an issue at left back, although Aké could be makeshift but we'd be heavily reliant on Mendy if Zinchenko goes. Don't think Garcia is taking up a foreign spot anyway and Otamendi leaving probably leaves space for Koulibaly or whoever to come in.
