PSG still has to offload and aren't going to be many takers for Neymar and Real can't afford to sign Mbappe at the minute. Inter has a chance (but the same as us to be honest)

If Barcelona keep to there agreement Messi can leave on a free but it’s a big gray area and Barcelona will hold on to him to get a massive fee! Maybe 2/3 players plus cash for Messi.

If we don't have to pay Barca for Messi, then his wages, while insane are much easier for the club to handle than if we had to pay Barca.

As others have said, we could renegotiate with certains sponsors, and as for our players, I'm sure they wouldn't mind if Messi was paid massive wages... to you know... play with Messi.
