If it's us or nobody and UEFA have to decide, what do you really think would happen?
What's Jorge up to today?

You do realise that if Messi breaks with Barca it would be a free transfer? If we had to buy him in the transfer market I don't think City would do it because of his age. After sailing so close to the wind with the CAS victory the last thing we need is another long drawn out saga, if Messi was a few years younger then it may be worth going out on a limb for, but i just don’t think it’s worth the hassle for a 33 year old who could blow a huge hole in our finances. It’s Barcelona‘s problem to sort out, let’s stay well away.
Time for a fish pun, methinks.
Is Tricky_Tev dropping a hint with his brilliant gif…? It does bring us back to the maritime habitat, after all.
This is between Messi & Barcelona, who are the parties to his contract. If it needs external intervention then it's a FIFA tribunal that will deal with it. City don't need to be involved in any way in legal proceedings.
Yes big transfers takes years to complete. This is just few weeks and after all it is messi. So may be next year but it will drag till the end.Nothing has changed. Messi is on strike. His only possible destination is City. The rest is a dance or a negotiation.Nothing is ever done until it’s done and I often use the phrase “many a slip b’twixt cup n lip” to talk about transfers but in this instance I feel like this is more a matter of when not if.
cutting out a lot of the bullshit flying around in the media and (dare i say) on here, it is a very interesting saga.We watch on and will likely make a move when it is prudent to do so. If Messi's agent has had enough with barca and makes some kind of statement announcing an irrevocable split, then we will probably move.
Messi could back down.
barca could also sense the game is up and compromise on a fee.

I used to worry about how we were perceived but nowadays I don’t give a f*** what they saywe will (again) be painted as the pantomime villain of the piece. whatever happens we will be trashed.
we get him and we have ruined a football love story with our corrupting oil millions.
we dont get him and our corrupting oil millions cant break a football love story.
the club are playing this well so far. we are the admiring suitor, but the player has to push the move. by doing that he proves he wants to go, and proves he wants to come.

my spider senses are telling me he has had enough, and wants to finish his career still challenging for trophies at City. our chumps lge form is piss poor, but our football in general is better than i have ever seen except the early pep barca years.
hopefully that is what is attracting him to City. if he wins the chumps lge with City he will go down as a folk hero at 2 massive clubs. he may feel stale at barca now, needs a new challenge in the premier league. i for one would love to see him just in the premier lge, but if there is even a sniff he will play for City then it is something worth trying for.
Don't know, my head's in a weird plaice at the momentI think it's halibut done
I’m calling bullshit... how do you know he eats weetabix?!!Croissants with anchovy jam followed by quails feet & rocket for breakfast.
And Weetabix.
