And fortunately for us with how bad they've been so far this season, Barcelona fans seem to be far more willing for the club to let him go. So it may not be a politically suicidal move for the next guy in charge to allow him to leave.

Barcelona need to keep Messi if they're to stand any chance of Champions League qualification, at the moment it isn't looking good and without Messi it'll be very tough.

Didn't say win it mate, they need top 4 in Spain to get in it and so far it's not looking very good that looks even worse without Messi.
I think he wouldn't want to leave knowing for certain that he has to knock Barca out with the team he would be joining.Why what difference does it make

He won't force it he's already said he respects them 2 much and losing Messi & no Champions League football is terrible for their finances.
Still don't see Messi at City in Jan
