Fiesta XR2 was my first car - wish it was still alive and could be restored to its former glory, I loved that car.

Vauxhall Calibra - I thought I was supercool when I bought it. And then crashed the thing within a fortnight !

Audi S4 - mental car

BMW 5 series - still feels "tight" after 130K miles - don't think I ever want to sell it

Alpina B3 - weekend toy and money-pit

X reg Metro was my first car. A quality little motor where, when you changed gear, the gear box visibly touched the road!

Fiat Uno, the most economical and trustworthy car i've had.

Pug 205 GTi, (1.9, not the pussy 1.6). Came back from Aiya Napa as a 20 year old and decided to trade in the trusty Uno for a boy racers car. F reg, 100,000 miles, everyone telling me not to buy it for the £3.5k it was up for, (1997), and all in all it was a death trap. I listened to no-one except my naive, silly little self. Paid £3.5k for it and sold it a year and half later for £1k.

Cavalier after that, a decent car that was too.

Rover 200, a complete shit hole and another waste of money.

T Reg Mondeo, decent car again.

51 reg Mondeo, cracking motor, lovely to drive but after the split with the ex who I bought it with, I went into silly season and looked after nothing, including myself. I drove that car for 3 months with no oil in it, eventually leading to it more or less blowing up. At the time I got rid of it, 2009, it had only done 70k miles, was immaculate inside and out but sadly was beyond repair unless I had thousands of pounds.

I traded that Mondeo in for my current car, a Vectra SRi. Lovely to drive, full of gadgets and is like shit off a shovel whilst being very economical. Expensive to repair though. Only just finished paying my dad back the £900 it cost to get a new fly wheel and clutch before Christmas.

One day I will go to a dealer ship and buy a car to spec, brand new and not worry about anything. One day.

Insignia's are lovely. A chap round here has a brilliant-white VXR one, lovely.

As for the old people carrier, I would like an S-Max, always fancied them. That's the dream car of mine at present, fully loaded, a lovely coordinated exterior and a nice powerful motor to boot. Bloody expensive though.
