Little gems to visit in the UK

That gave me a smile, I have a little place right next door to the Lion and funnily enough just got back from it today.
Winchcombe’s brilliant as it’s more of a locals town and not packed with tourists.
If you go again pm me and if I’m there I’ll buy you a pint.
Small world Sid :-)
I was there Monday to Friday last week. I know exactly where you are re the Lion.
Agree - lovely place to base yourself for the Cotswolds.

It is mate.

It’s a pity I didn’t read the topic as I went last Thursday.

Re the Lion, 2 years ago it was voted the best town pub in the UK in the good pub guide but sadly that won’t be happening again for a good while as they can’t get staff and haven’t had a proper chef for 18 months. Still well worth going in though just to drool over the blonde Polish waitress called Ula, if she was on when you were in you’ll know who I mean. :)

Flamborough head is a twitchers paradise but it's not for the fainthearted. I don't do heights and I do not do Borises, but pretty much everything else is good to go.

After a youngster went over the edge last Tuesday I was reticent to continue our planned walk from North Landing to South landing lighthouse, but the wife was keen so off we trot.

After the initial climb from Thornwick, the cliff path reduced in places to little more then 6 ft with some of the sections devoid of a safety net.

I was told we had not to cross the fencing into Flambourough Golf club but quite frankly .. fook em all with their diamond shaped tank tops, girly pumps and high waisted trews, and after flatting their barbed wire we made our way to safety. I thought the views were astonishing but would never repeat the occation.

A brace of not rights

I fancy going there for new years eve I heard they have an amazing festival

Currently in the new forest, little village called Burley. Great places to walk with the dog, although limited it to wood walks this year due to the heat. Early morning walks before it gets too hot for the dog.

I did Brockenhurst in June, it's amazing round there
