Little girls last day at school

its truly scary how fast time flies. i'm spending a long weekend off work with mine until next tuesday. determined to make the most of every second as eldest is a very mature nine now and i can already see that i'm not the centre of her world any more :-(

I remember when my lad got to about 6 and he wouldn't hold my hand in public. That's when I knew my baby was gone :-(
Then he reached 15 and became a sodding little monster for about 2 years lol!

Had mine last week. They sing a song to each other called 'goodbye my friends'. Heartbreaking! It's took a week to get over it!

I'm a coward. Made the missus go on her own (with a box of kleenex).
Like I say mate, fuck knows what there is to get upset about! I think with mine it was seeing her start at 2 and half with the same group of kids and go right through with them all, then saying goodbye to each other. My daughter loved it though, as she can't wait to get to high school. Oh so naive!

Genuine question, as im not a father i dont know, but how did you guys actually react when your daughter brought her first boyfriend around?
I think i would be a right ****, id absolutely hate it. When i do have a kid i pray to god its a boy

Wouldn't have minded meeting the **** first. First I knew my eldest even had a boyfriend was when she announced she was pregnant.

As I said earlier, girls are great until they reach 13/14 and then it becomes their mission to make the rest of your life as miserable as they possibly can.

Depends on how he is. My little girl is 11, so I have a few years grace yet but I know around 14 years of age she will probably get an interest in boys. If they're polite to me, i'll be polite back. If they're not polite to me or show the slightest bit of disrespect, they will soon wish they had been. As for a lad/bloke when she's older ever hurting her, well they'll wish they'd never been born.

Someone needs to post a clip from that scene in Bad Boys 2 when Martin Lawrence's daughters boyfriend turns up on the doorstep to be met by Will Smith. Who offers a bit of friendly advice.

Not the greatest film ever but that scene always has me in fucking stitches.
