Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

What I couldn’t understand was why was haarland not picking up Vvd at corners he could have scored a couple, mind boggling

Why wasn't anyone picking him up? Our set piece coach is really piss poor this season - our corners are awful, we can't mark opposition threats and our free kick routines...jesus

We were gutless in the first half hour but grew into the game a little bit, but nowhere near enough.

Too many players had absolutely no impact on the game whatsoever. We got the ball in good positions a few times but either the cross or pass was blocked or we just wimped out and went backwards, or the one shot we got off was no better than that you see in a primary school playground.

We defended better across the 90 minutes than previous games, Aké was very good again, but it was defensive lapses that cost us the goals so what good was it?

We aren’t going to be in the title race this season (that’s okay, dips in quality are natural) but let’s hope we are in the Top4 by the end of the season because we aren’t playing like a side who will be at the moment.

That's what went wrong at the swamp ten or eleven years ago.

Reluctance to make 'unpopular' decisions in any business can lead to serious problems down the line.

To be honest, I don't think that the City hierarchy have got their act together for the post-Pep era yet.
Not sure there is a solution to be fair.

What's the alternative if he had made his mind to leave?

Alonso? Jury very much out.

We have had an incredible decade, football goes in cycles, it's going to take some serious money, good judgement, hard work and luck to maintain ours.

Memories of this game are just of the centre backs, gundo, bernardo and Rico, getting caught in possession umpteen times, and Walker with his arm raised appealing for offside, when they clearly weren't. Oh, forgot, Kevin warming up

I disagree with most of your knee jerk comments today, but on this I'm with you.

The last thing I expected to see at the restart after conceding the penalty, was the main man having a giggle with Van Dick.

Very surprising.
We lost today and that's fair enough but Haaland laughing was a disgrace. I'm more angry about that than any of the defensive cock ups as that's a confidence issue.....laughing when your losing to them is embarrassing.
