Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

Today felt like a shot to nothing considering the last few weeks, on another day we inexplicably could have got something out of that but one thing we definitely don’t seem to be getting are breaks at the moment. I also appreciate on another day we could have conceded 5 and grateful we didn’t.

The media once again have handed a team the title and we are right at the start of December. So congratulations to the dippers, champions already. It’s a long old season and a funny game, you think they’d have learnt a lesson but never seemingly do.

Doku looked very good when he came on, terrorised Tront. But by our standards, we need a lot more than we are seeing from everyone. The baseline is low, so surely we are due a result soon with some improvement.

It's a sad reflection of our current state where not getting beaten more convincingly and showing a bit of spirit in the second half until they got the second are seen as positives.

I think it shows that Pep extracted everything out of the squad in winning the title last season and this squad is currently spent, both mentally and physically. I can't see January incomings achieving too much in terms of getting us back to our peak but the rebuild can't start soon enough.
I think Pep has to make a decision really - forget cups (or titles as he calls 'em) and start building a strong foundation for his successor - my fear is he sort of plods on until he is politely asked to step away - with a huge severance pay as he has just signed another 2 year deal!! All HIS talk about 'sack me if im not good enough etc' sort of contrived it seems

Ridiculous. We are on a shit run, but you honestly think club would sack our greatest ever manager? It's time to back him not sack him. The squad needs a rebuild and I can't think of a better manager to do it.
We need to back him but he needs to be ruthless. It’s the end for two or three of them now. Possibly in January for one. No room for sentimentality in this game.

Right back, and someone to help Haaland out up top would be handy, too. But we won't get all that in January. Not quality players in those positions. We must play the long game, as Txiki has always done. The central midfielder is the absolute priority.
Anyway, it's an another discussion.
Letting Alavarez go without a replacement was arrogance at its finest. Not quite sure how we thought we were going to replace his goals and assists.

It was a much better second half. I hope people see the importance of Doku. We desperately need him to be fit, which, unfortunately, has always been his issue. Credit to Liverpool, who defended annoyingly well in the second half. Hopefully, this is lucky loss number 7, and we can turn it around from here and get into the top four.
Don't believe the media we haven't lost 7 we drew one of them CTID

Well that's me, I'm done. Not with the club, not ever, but with the morons on this forum who, despite not being world class managers themselves, seem to know better than the world class manager we have got. The complete and utter shite that you lot come out with is not only pathetic, it's embarrassing.

You're not City fans, not really, You never were. You wouldn't be mentally capable of following this club down to the 3rd division and managing to keep your dignity and your sense of humour. You can't even cope with a bad patch, or even a single loss at times. And you're all too dumb to understand that you have already witnessed the greatest period in our history. Because you won't see a better manager or a better team who has jelled as well as this group has, and to be slagging them off and writing them off the way you are doing, week in week out, tells us everything we need to know about you.

I'm not going to name names, you know who you are. And you know what? I'm glad you're suffering. Because you don't deserve to support this club.

You know what's really funny? You all slate the likes of Neville, yet you get carried along by the hype. If you watch these matches without the commentary, without the media leading you, you see a match where Liverpool dominated the first 10-15 minutes and from that point on was pretty even, against a team on top form and who are full of confidence having just beaten Real Madrid, it's the sort of result we could have seen in any other season.

It's been the same for most of the other matches in this run. The stats show we've had more shots, more possession and so on, and it all comes down to one thing: The core of the side has been ripped out and it's not going to change much from one match to another until we get player back and until we are able to rest some of the players who are struggling. Bernardo is the obvious one but there are others. Why are any of you even surprised? If half your car engine was ripped out would you expect the same performance from it?

Everyone is raving about Liverpool, they're on a roll, but they look like they're already celebrating the title and we've seen what happens when teams do that. We showed today that we're not that far off, we need to get a couple of players back and we need to get a bit of confidence back. And I can cope with that. Because of what this club has given me in the past decade and beyond, I can live with it, but mostly because I understand why it's happening while you're all too dumb to see it. But the worst thing is you're ruining that enjoyment, your completely spoiling the achievements we have made, the trophies won, the records broken, and so on.

It's hard to believe but despite all this we're only 2 points from Arsenal, who at the start of the season were tipped by many to win the title or at least run us close. Because you all know nothing. Liverpool lose 3 matches, we go on a run and beat them at the Etihad and we're back in it. And it could happen, however unlikely it may seem right now. But you're all falling apart and I can't stand listening to the drivel and vitriol on here from morons who have the audacity to call themselves fans. So I'm done. I'm out, and this is my final post. I'd rather support my club through good AND bad, like I always have done, and enjoy the good moments without thinking I'm entitled to them every week like you lot do.

The sad thing is you'll never find the perfection you're looking for, but that's your problem. Enjoy your misery, you deserve it.

Absolutely
Yes IF we are planning to rebuild properly and look at a modern style of football where physicality pace and power are ALSO essential components to technique and tactical awareness. Slott is so much better than Klopp, more pragmatic..but their team is not particularly technical...so not great on the eye
