Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

No one to blame but Pep & maybe Txiki

Starting a DM as winger was a mistake ( Nunes )

Using Rico in the middle was another mistake by Pep
Yep it was no surprise to anyone that we improved slightly when Nunes and Gundo went off and Doku and Savinho came on. A Midfield of Nunes, Lewis, Gundogan and Bernardo two of those hopelessly out of form and one simply not good enough isn't scaring Southampton let alone Liverpool

Before the match, me and my lad were discussing the chances of Liverpool getting a penalty … and we settled on 98% probability
That pen....i still can't believe where he would have to fetch the ball if he didn't deliberately leave his leg in for contact...touch line maybe - he was rounding Ortega - just knocked the ball well wide and waited for contact...meant to be a goal scoring opportunity ..Also as this happens everywhere surely VAR analysers MUST be trained to spot these deliberate 'fake pens' don't get me wrong whilst we were better today - no way we good enough today to get anything ...1 shot I think whole game - but that wasn't a pen to me..book the lad for cheating.

I can't write off the team or the season just yet, given what we've experienced these last years. I expect it from outside. They never learn. I'm surprised they didn't do the presentation straight after the game.
Based on the last years I'm going to look forward to chasing these bastards down, again. I enjoy the look on their faces.
If we don't - we go again.
What doesn't kill you, an all that stuff.

This past month has been fucking brutal and to hear and see the rags, dippers, tarquins and the media pissing themselves laughing about our plight could be fucking annoying to some of us.

But remember this fellow Blues, we have plumbed the depths before, endured decades of shit and having the piss ripped out of us and we have always took it in good stead and even laughed about it ourselves. But we stuck by them and the lower we went, the more fans turned up at Maine Road defying belief that a club can keep its fanbase despite the mire it was in. We are not scared of any of that returning as we've seen and done it all before.

Would those rags, dippers and tarquins do the same if they ever had to go through half of that we've been through? Would they keep going to watch the dross being served up week in, week out? Would they laugh at themselves being in such a dire situation? Would they stick by them? No fucking chance they would, they would whine, whinge and moan, desert their clubs and be even more insufferable twats than they already are.
We had some proper moaners at Maine Road when we were struggling..particularly when at bottom div one as opposed to odd season in div 2 and ONE season in third tier. I think this forum needs to table our league placing since say 1890...surprisingly few periods out of top flight ...and short periods at that!

Annual loss at Anfield is something I have gotten used to even when we were in much better form. No issue with losing.
We deserved nothing from the game. 2nd half we were on top with Doku until Dias or was it Walker decided to try a fancy turn rather than putting it in Row Z.
Of the players today, Doku, Ake and Ortega were half decent-The rest can go suck on my plums.

Oh an another thing, What the fuck is Haaland doing laughing with the dippers post match. **** should be hurting after that shit show. He offered nothing today (please dont say his service was shit) He could work 50% harder.

Season starts now for me. Wednesday is a huge huge game-The team needs us. Forest will be sensing blood.
This club has enough credit in the bank for me to accept not winning the league this year. 75 points to play for so until it is not possible I simply won't give up. FA Cup, Champions league and top 4.
On a final note. Pep gets us,he gets the club. The 6 fingers made me chuckle.

We need to back him but he needs to be ruthless. It’s the end for two or three of them now. Possibly in January for one. No room for sentimentality in this game.

Letting Alavarez go without a replacement was arrogance at its finest. Not quite sure how we thought we were going to replace his goals and assists.
Alvararez such a strange one, I never rated him as a technically gifted player but ran his heart out...that gives space and time for others when you have a dog chasing. Selling him for the fee we got, at first i thought that's good business - BUT you need the others to pick up his effort..sadly we have a fair few tired players...(some seem lazy which is unforgivable looking at our payroll)

You are clearly a glass half full person.I thought we were abysmal.First half unable to string two passes together and giving the ball away the entire 90 minutes.Zero goal threat throughout.Players laughing and joking waving arms at each other we looked like rabbits in headlights completely devoid of any coherence and confidence.
This is from someone who put a fiver on city to win 1-4 at HT.

Just calling it as I see it, has nothing to do with glass half full or empty. If I didn't see positive signs I wouldn't have said there were.
