Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

This is what our nay sayers want , it will be in the press tomorrow that it’s the 115 getting to us , the club , manager and players have to dig deep now , what is totally unacceptable is our own fanbase going taters deep on this team , short fucking memories - and it’s a fucking total disgrace tbh , this club , manager , and team have broken every fucking record set in English football history only last season ! Grow a fucking pair of bollocks and accept that most of our players are fucking burnt out with the achievements they have given US as fans the past 3-4 seasons.
It’s totally fucking embarrassing tbh.

Well that's me, I'm done. Not with the club, not ever, but with the morons on this forum who, despite not being world class managers themselves, seem to know better than the world class manager we have got. The complete and utter shite that you lot come out with is not only pathetic, it's embarrassing.

You're not City fans, not really, You never were. You wouldn't be mentally capable of following this club down to the 3rd division and managing to keep your dignity and your sense of humour. You can't even cope with a bad patch, or even a single loss at times. And you're all too dumb to understand that you have already witnessed the greatest period in our history. Because you won't see a better manager or a better team who has jelled as well as this group has, and to be slagging them off and writing them off the way you are doing, week in week out, tells us everything we need to know about you.

I'm not going to name names, you know who you are. And you know what? I'm glad you're suffering. Because you don't deserve to support this club.

You know what's really funny? You all slate the likes of Neville, yet you get carried along by the hype. If you watch these matches without the commentary, without the media leading you, you see a match where Liverpool dominated the first 10-15 minutes and from that point on was pretty even, against a team on top form and who are full of confidence having just beaten Real Madrid, it's the sort of result we could have seen in any other season.

It's been the same for most of the other matches in this run. The stats show we've had more shots, more possession and so on, and it all comes down to one thing: The core of the side has been ripped out and it's not going to change much from one match to another until we get player back and until we are able to rest some of the players who are struggling. Bernardo is the obvious one but there are others. Why are any of you even surprised? If half your car engine was ripped out would you expect the same performance from it?

Everyone is raving about Liverpool, they're on a roll, but they look like they're already celebrating the title and we've seen what happens when teams do that. We showed today that we're not that far off, we need to get a couple of players back and we need to get a bit of confidence back. And I can cope with that. Because of what this club has given me in the past decade and beyond, I can live with it, but mostly because I understand why it's happening while you're all too dumb to see it. But the worst thing is you're ruining that enjoyment, your completely spoiling the achievements we have made, the trophies won, the records broken, and so on.

It's hard to believe but despite all this we're only 2 points from Arsenal, who at the start of the season were tipped by many to win the title or at least run us close. Because you all know nothing. Liverpool lose 3 matches, we go on a run and beat them at the Etihad and we're back in it. And it could happen, however unlikely it may seem right now. But you're all falling apart and I can't stand listening to the drivel and vitriol on here from morons who have the audacity to call themselves fans. So I'm done. I'm out, and this is my final post. I'd rather support my club through good AND bad, like I always have done, and enjoy the good moments without thinking I'm entitled to them every week like you lot do.

The sad thing is you'll never find the perfection you're looking for, but that's your problem. Enjoy your misery, you deserve it.
Well said and one of the best posts I've read. Good job you didn't name them all as you'd still be creating the post this time tomorrow.

You stock up on toilet roll and still wear a face mask don't you?

We are playing bad and are completely bereft of confidence but I reckon we'll be within half a dozen points of them come Christmas.
Behave, the title run is over, just a hard cold fact.

Getting top 4 with the present situation would be another Pep masterclass.

Nunes has been one of our best players this season. Quicker than all of Bernardo, Gundogan and Rico combined. Only midfielder left with some pace, energy and ability to cover some ground
Nunes has been one of the least worst in the last month or so but he was fucking tragically soft today. Even when he didn’t lose the ball like a wimp, he crossed it to nobody.

Those blaming "injuries" for the state of the team need to contend with the fact that except for Rodri, every single player in our squad has played minutes in the past month.
We've really not had a huge "injury" crisis. we have a "god, we have crap players" crisis.

Well thats garbage
Half of them playing when not fit

He wanted out, no issue but to let him go and not replace what utter madness and the sign of a soft club.

He scored and assisted a lot of goals, and not to replace them was incredibly poor management.
No. You let him go when you have replacement. If you havent then should of told him he stays

This has been a debacle to be very honest. And now its on the board to act.

A serious club would invest 100 mil in this window to immediate help the team and I am waiting with baited breath for this. Pep can stay for another 15 years because he is irreplaceable but our more than half the team needs replacing or atleast a good kick in the back.

And for people who think clubs don't find good options in January - Yes 99.9% clubs wouldn't be able to do good business in Jan window. But we belong in the 0.1% now. Guess its time to act like that.

And you sad drips who think this is acceptable because 25 years ago we was shit can jump shit too. Small time and weak mentality
I'm only gonna humour this sort of post once, but no one thinks it's acceptable but most people think it's understandable because we've been exceptional for four years. A mixture of 115, bad luck, and a couple of bad decisions in terms of team building means we aren't going to win another. If you offered me 4/5 leagues (or even 4/6 or even 4/7) over the next half decade I'd snap your arm off. Kicking off at other fans over it seems silly to me. Got a big few months and a big few transfer windows coming up.

Feel largely positive about the performance if not the result.

We've got some problems, but nothing that's going to hold us back for too long.

You don't let any player leave before identifying and obtaining a replacement.

Hence why we would not let Ederson go.
Exactly, hence I don't buy the whole "you can't keep a player who wants to go" nonsense, yes you can and it's happened many times before, and Alvarez doesn't strike me as the type of guy who would cause problems in the dressing room.
