Pretty much sums it up. But when I saw their teamsheet I thought we could have won. That second half was a really hard watch

Ake chose to have his worst game today

He made one (crucial) mistake for me, otherwise was fine, Salah didn't exactly run him ragged.

Ederson's attempted tackle was awful too, he was never kicking that ball.

The contact was with Eddie's right thigh catching Nunez, hence why he went off, most likely a dead leg

Today after the first 15 mimutes we werent good enough. Nothing to do with wet the bed or the anfield atmosphere etc etc.....we just didnt have the legs and the elelphant in the room is KDB in intense games. He was very poor despite the assist and we are a man short defensively when he is on the pitch. 99.9% of games it isnt an issue but in the odd one here and there it really shows and today was one of them.

Walker after the first half was decent and Akanji justified Pep picking him. Ake was poor .....Stones and Rodri were ok for the vast majority of the match -Bernardo seemed to lose his head however which is very unlike him.

I dont know what happened to Ederson on the penalty. It was a very poor back pass by Ake who is very culpable for the penalty but Ederson looks like he struggled to get the ball and I think the injury happens before he collides with Nunez....

Pep needs to trust foden centrally.

Same goes to Haaland, just jogging around most of the times without the ball ,this is a game where you need to fight like a maniac ,also Foden backing out of every 50-50 ball is annoying ,you need to go and fight for the ball ,not take your foot out every single time.

Eddie might have done his thigh muscle, not sure how long a thigh strain would keep him out for. I actually think outside of the passing Ortega is a better keeper.

He won’t play next week anyway and then no game until 31st so probably back by then.

Not great that we couldn't beat their near B team.

Good post. We’re lacking a pair of top class wingers. Phil as we know is best when played central, Doku is just awful and Grealish is just okay. Pep has been forced to play Phil wide and while he’s been performing well we look disjointed elsewhere. In contrast, Arsenal have the best balanced team with no weaknesses and that’s why they’ll win it ahead of Liverpool.

Our character is simply unquestioned...to win four in a row FOUR IN A FKIN ROW..unheard of...doesn't help that we don't seem to have the back room staff to twist the ears of the top players who want to leave when it gets hard work..we miss sterling's 150 goals. Mahrez's genuine skill (and free kicks) Ilky's control and leadership..just too much to lose and not enough fight to convince top players to stay until they are out of their prime....fks me off a bit tbf

When is Pep going to recognise we play shite football with Haaland in the team.
6 touches in 54 minute second half. It’s like having ten men, which is a huge handicap when we play possession football.

We just needed a steady 10 minutes at the start of the 2nd half, dreadful backpass from Ake, why didn't Ederson slide into the challenge? We crumbled until Kovacic steadied us down. Haaland offered nothing, but it is nice to come away with a point after holding out, rather than nothing after being the better side. All to play for.

The other thing to consider is that the Liverpool of previous seasons would have put 3 or 4 past us in that game.....they arent all that either

Nothing is over yet....they will wn their games at anfield but away could be a different story.

We on the other hand are not as good as previous seasons and havent been all season - will it click? I dont think it will - too many players look lke they are running on empty - KDB and Bernardo being two of them - but you never know - we may crawl over the line but Arsenal may also feel confident after that performance by both teams
