Ederson doesn't save penalties. He could be 9ft and be told where it goes
What would be classed as a decent ratio of penalty saves generally; one in 6 or 7? Or is that a bit on the high side? I know Eddie's must be extremely low. Yes; the taker should always have the advantage as he knows which way he's going. But some keepers seem to have a very good record with them? Paul Cooper back in the days of b&w telly, had a good record. And I think Tim Krul has a good record in modern times.

When is Pep going to recognise we play shite football with Haaland in the team.
6 touches in 54 minute second half. It’s like having ten men, which is a huge handicap when we play possession football.
Bring back false nine

Clown

He made one (crucial) mistake for me, otherwise was fine, Salah didn't exactly run him ragged.

Ederson's attempted tackle was awful too, he was never kicking that ball.
I agree, he underhits one pass, possibly his first mistake for months, and people pile in to criticise. Ake has been our most consistent defender this season, and Eddie should have held off and hope somebody was defending his goal, worst thing would have been to concede, but they did anyway and he picked up an injury.

Lucky to get away with a point in the end.

We played well in the first 10 minutes or so but that’s it. The Ake/Ederson blunder early in the second half completely killed us and handed Liverpool the momentum.

There were shades of the Villa defeat as we were uncharacteristically careless in possession and our midfield was non-existent for large periods until Kovacic came on.

Game against Arsenal is huge. Have to win that.

Thought it was wrong to bring Kev off if it was due to his performance. He wasn’t the worst out there and he always has a game changing pass in him. I dunno maybe pep wanted to protect his hamstring because the game was getting stretched. We’re going to need him for the run in. Good decision if that was the case.

I disagree.. these past few years have been our best. Love Silva, Komps and Aguero and co but we are currently playing with the best players in world in a number of positions. Never the case when they were playing.. they were world class but not the best. Rodri, Kev, Haaland, to a lesser extent Phil and Walker are regarded as the best.
this team would flunk it somewhere if they had to win all them games when we beat Liverpool to the title. That was relentless and class seen us through. Vinnies screamer verses Leicester being for me the best and most important goal of many great goals that season.

i’m not sure who was playing today. Bernardo lost his head and his control, the defenders struggled to retain possession with passes into midfield, Kev got frustrated, Phil slipping over non stop, Alvarez just abysmal; ball bouncing off him to Liverpool players or just dallying and getting obviously closed down

the rational about Akanji over Dias might have had merit but the better idea would have been to have another player in midfield so we didnt get absolutely run ragged from 25 mins onwards on the turn over

How we got out of there with a draw i have no idea

Arsenal have to feel confident after today.

Today the TV cut to a replay about 10 times after a Dipper chance resulting in a goal kick or free kick to us (meaning we had possession back).
Each time the TV had finished the replay and cut back to the game, the Dippers had the ball back!
That’s how easy we were surrendering possession

Thought we played well until the penalty. We seem to have developed this habit of trying to 'manage games' as soon as we go in front rather than the let's score as many as we can attitude of a few years back. I'd also question whether Doku is a player to bring on when we are under pressure, that said he could easily have scored. Sadly, all in all, a fair result.
