The contact was initiated by Whonez.... But Eddy gave him the opportunity to con OliverWatch it again. There was definitely contact. It was an awful pass by Ake and, in hindsight, Eddie probably didnt need to make a challenge, but he did and on another day he may have got a red card.
It’s tough at the topAll very wise words about "you're never going to be at 100% for 100% of the time'.
Unfortunately that doesn't explain our record there under Pep of P10, L5, D4, W1. And the 1 was with no crows there during COVID.
Love to put this down as a one off, not at the races today. But it's every fucking time.
Liverpool away is probably the only game I dread in the season. Our work HQ is there and they like to dish it out ha ha! At least I'm ready for it tomorrow though to tell them they were celebrating the World Cup win at home with a draw against us! :)Yes the neutrals must have loved it, me not so much, I don't know why I put myself through it, I felt like i hated nearly every minute of it, a feeling that only watching City in the big games bring out in me, but the euphoria when we win them or even getting a draw in the games like today is worth it.
It’s the most stonewall penalty you’ll ever seeFor me Ederson never made contact with Nunez.
That converted pen inspired the dippers and the atmos in the ground changed and swung the momentum to them.
We were fortunate to come away with a point in the end.
Felt for Ake, usually so reliable.
IMO, the team on the field today has proven themselves good enough to win that game on another day.How can you ever know that or quantify what better signings may have brought?
They haven't improved us that's for sure.
Watching it on MOTD and definite contactFor me Ederson never made contact with Nunez.
So we should win every game.Overall poor performance. I can't stand the "would have taken a point beforehand" crowd We are the treble winners, we should be taking 3 every game.
I watched it in the TV,, and it's a penalty today tomorrow and twice on a Sunday,, it was akes fault,, not going call him cause he's been fantastic for us,, it is what it is,,,,, and hurts me to say they were far far better than us second half actually far better from the the last 20 mins onwards from the first halfIt’s the most stonewall penalty you’ll ever see
It's not the fault of the players - agreed. They can only do what they can. Obviously good players - but good enough? Nobody's "blaming" the player - more questioning why they were bought.IMO, the team on the field today has proven themselves good enough to win that game on another day.
Sure, We could have gotten players this summer that could have come on and made a difference. But that’s a separate issue in my mind and not a reason to blame the players we did get. But, I guess in most others minds, it’s still the fault of those players.
I agree. We lost control at around 20/25 minutes in and the game turned then. We did get some control back when the subs came on. I’m not sure why Pep left it so late to bring them on when we were clearly struggling to contain them in the second half,I watched it in the TV,, and it's a penalty today tomorrow and twice on a Sunday,, it was akes fault,, not going call him cause he's been fantastic for us,, it is what it is,,,,, and hurts me to say they were far far better than us second half actually far better from the the last 20 mins onwards from the first half
I’m as blind a blue as anyone but it was a pen for meFor me Ederson never made contact with Nunez.
That converted pen inspired the dippers and the atmos in the ground changed and swung the momentum to them.

Whonez initiated the contact... But Eddy was stupid enough to give him the option...Watching it on MOTD and definite contact
Bad error today but he’s been immense for 18 monthsive been saying it for a while now if I was an opposition manager i would instruct my team to pressure Ake when hes on the ball and focus attacks on him.
IMHO he has looked a bit ropey for a while but in most games it can be papered over, not today though.
Daddy Ewing likes this.Barnes, Richard or the guy off cheers?
Still better by a country mile than that Liverpool starting 11. Too many big players well off it today unfortunately. But hopefully we will kick on for the last part of the season but I’m saying that all season we just don’t seem toLook at our team...we are good but no where near great...have an amazing manager but this is definitely a wind down from last season..understandably
We drew, hardest game of the season, good resultWe let them play though?? Where was our control from our big players?
