Liverpool (A) Post Match Thread

Superb. How brave were we to recover from 2 big mistakes, the penalty miss and Dias for their penalty, and win that?
Missed a pen, had a goal chalked off after it was 1-1 for a very narrow offside....could have been 5/6 nil.
Another immense showing from Rodri in midfield, been top class for weeks now. Silva was superb in the 2nd half, Foden brilliant 2nd half.
Disappointed in Mahrez though, I'm not sure his style of play suits the way we play. He goes off and we then go on to score 3 more, looked far better off without him.
Commanding from Ederson, coming for crosses and corners.
Embarrassing from Salah, as usual, good to see him getting some serious media stick for his ludicrous dive.
Nice of Klopp to congratulate Phil at the end.
A glorious glorious afternoon/evening.

Funny that it was never mentioned that we lost our kingpin for a large part of last season , now they’ve lost Van Dijk and are underperforming, it’s somehow different !

He obviously chose to omit City were the best team in the country after the first lockdown and won pretty much every game, including another four goals against their shite.

Great pic....

I love the way Gundo fixed his quiff before his first goal, class

If Eddy would of stuck the head on "Trent boy" and got sent off, i'd still be delirious

I’d be amazed if we go down this route. If he misses he’d have no chance to get back. Having said that does anyone know how many points a GK gets for a goal in Fantasy Football? Might just stick him in my team just in case ;)
It could definitely be done. Hypothetically, if he’s that good, we could have say 2 or 3 players up there with him and have the other 7/8 sat back, he doesn’t exactly get much exertion playing for us so to sprint back wouldn’t be too big a deal.

I said months ago credit were it's due to Zinny, Turning down Wolves for regular football took bollocks and obviously knew he's good enough to play in this side. People have to remember he's also a attacking midfielder by trade. He was spot on today.
Huge respect for Zinchenko seems a great kid.

You got to love Pep. In his interview he questions Phil’s performance in the first half. He was not doing what we asked him in the first half but we he will learn said Pep. Pretty critical. He could have gone over the top how good a performance he had, but indicated Phil was not influencing the game in the first half. Very sobering comments from Pep for Phil. Exactly how you want a manager to manage, pushing Phil on to greater heights. What a manager and Phil will be better for it.
Just came on to post exactly the same.
He is a genius. Thick skinned aswell, could have got rid of Cancelo, Stones, Gundogan, Zinchenko, Jesus, et al if he had bowed to bluemoon.

When keepers lose it there is rarely a way back for them. Loads of examples over the years but recently Hart, de Gea & Pickford (not that he was ever that good). Alisson is finished as a top keeper as he has been shite for quite a while. Still, he was a steal at 66 mill :)
