Stoke reinforce the need to take your chances against the dippers. They had a great opportunity to go 2 up early doors which would have put a totally different complexion on the game. Pools defence is there to be got at and if we take our chances, i fancy we will get a result.

We outplayed them in the cup final with a combative midfield and ferna out wide

I would play Fernando , ferna and toure in a three with sterling , sane and aguero up front

We can't afford to lose this game so we should play on the break and hope to nick a win

Had a look at the stats, you guys have conceeded almost the same amount of goals as us which is interesting.

Tough game to predict, I dont think it will be a draw... someone will come away with all three points. Just a gut feeling.

Keep it tight, hopefully grab a goal and then bring Aguero on for the last 15 minutes or so

Interesting game this.

We'll see if Pep has learned from the way Celtic (at theirs) and Spurs pressed the absolute fuck out of us and made us very very uncomfortable.

This game should be about slowing the game down, making it bitty and making it 'dirty' (in the way a Mourinho team of old would've done using every trick in the book to make it stop-start and time waste). Grind them down, frustrate them. The 'defensive' elements of the game.

Play an 'open' game and anything could happen - 4-0, 0-4, 4-4..... who knows?

Adapt, make it niggly, come away with at least a draw, then win the mini-battle by doing them at ours.
