Just curious, anyone in here thinks we can still win the title?
Pedantic reply: Yes, as long as Chelsea drop at least 4 points between now and the end of the season, we
can win the title. If they don't, then we can't.
Schrodinger's reply: Our true chance of winning it is currently either 0% or 100% - we just can't possibly know which one yet, so the best answer should be a probability rather than a yes/no. If you convert the probability into a yes or no, anything over 50% is a yes, so if you think we have a 51% chance of winning or a 100% chance of winning, your answer's the same (even though 51% shows a lot of faith in Pep and the squad, but acknowledges we have a very good chance of
not winning, whereas 100% is simply blind optimism).
Personally, I'd put us at about a 20% chance of winning it, so my yes/no answer would be no, but that doesn't mean we've no chance of winning it (I think Trump was down to about a 13% chance of winning a couple of weeks before the election). Incidentally, I'd give Chelsea a 50% chance right now, Liverpool 20%, and the rest 10%. That means there's no team that crosses the 50% threshold in my opinion, so I wouldn't say 'yes' to any team winning the title.
(Just checked SkyBet and they have it as Chelsea 55%, City/Liverpool both 15%, Arsenal 7.5%, United/Spurs both 3.5%, so that makes me a little more optimistic than the pros!)
