Yaya upfront to do what? He's useless in the air so would hardly be a target for long ball I'd much rather keep his skills in the middle.

The thing about Yaya is he could play there and then drift into a holding or inside forward role as soon as the press is negated. Pool rarely maintain the press for 90 mins. Its an option as our get out ball

I'm sorry but stop chatting shit..I never used to mind Liverpool at all..you hated United..we hated United..but after Brendan's title charge..the parades..the 'We Go Again' shite..the Champions T-Shirts..I realised that unlike us..you just hated the rags because you're exactly like them..banging on about 'Istry' and a self entitlement to rival and possibly surpass our stretford neighbours..which is fucking rich considering you last won the league when I was 16

I hope we fucking smash you tomorrow..just as a huge 'Up Yours' to the sycophants in the media and your deluded grief merchant **** of a fan base

Feck me, someone's has a bad day. No holding back there aye?

Nobody is entitled to any success and I don't know where you've got this idea that Liverpool fans, or United for that matter believe that they are, other than the fact that we sing songs about our past success, how does that make you believe that we think we are entitled?
"Rule #1: no songs about history" you being serious?

The only thing I will say, the media are pro Liverpool. I admit that, it's bad. I think it's mainly because there's no many Liverpool pundits in sky' especially. They want Liverpool to win just as much as the fans. Remember the game we won 3-2? The commentators never screamed for the City goals but they did for the Liverpool ones.

Fair play for admitting that. We all naturally see press coverage through our own clubs tint so thats a big admission.

Sadly I fall in the same bracket as the previous poster. I always had a lot of admiration for Liverpool sides through the 80s and 90s but the 2014 campaign left a bitter taste in the mouth. The hysteria about Liverpool winning it and the over hyped plaudits for a side, which finished runners up, miserably failed the standards of balance and impartiality. Not including the pre arranged attacks on coaches

I do like Klopp though and think you will be very successful in the future. 5 years ago I would not have minded this, now I think differently.

I've been out this pm with my lad for his 30th but I'm sure your post was originally a thread OP about Klopps press love-in, but like I say I've had beer.

Anyway you're a blind fucker, join us tinfoil guys it's the only way to be ;)

Ha you have definitely been on the beer. The original thread was about the Klopp 'press'. E.g the football tactics of pressing teams defences.

I am a blind fucker but it keeps me optimistic :-)

Will be very interesting to see how Pep responds to the Klopp press tomorrow.

We have seen the effect of the likes of Spurs and Celtic pressing us over the last few months and the difficulties of playing out of the back.

There is a trail of though that we may play Yaya upfront and go long, negating the Klopp press, would this be the best solution and will our recent work of winning the second balls be to our advantage??

Will be interesting to see how Pep reacts to the challenge tomorrow and the tactical battle between two great managers.
Jesus wept.

Not a chance that Yaya will be up front, fuck me I've seen it all now, lol.

I worked in Liverpool 95 to 97. I have to say I hated Everton and started to have a soft spot for liverpool, my bird of the time was a dipper and we were in div one at the time and her ma and pa started to support city as well. Everton were really full of shit and total moaners, but since we have been contenders and won fuckin shed loads more than Liverpool the dippers fuck me off. Even at work they are worse than the rags. I never understood why rags hated them more than city, I absolutely understand it now. I fuckin hate them. I will be there tomorrow with my dad and pals. The fans are wankers, the police outside will be total gits. Manc this manc that. I so hope we win. A draw will do. So long as they go home disappointed I will be happy.

Rawk spoke glowingly about Merlin when we lost at Anfield the year we won the title: 'David Silva went into God mode', 'I shat myself whenever he had the ball' etc.

Our current side isn't as good, frankly, so right now I'd take a point.

Nothing's decided regardless.

The League Cup Final last year was a real eye opener for me. Having had great experiences with the Stoke and Sunderland fans, Liverpool fans were completely different referencing money at every opportunity.

They had little perception that there team that day was similarly priced to our own, a lot of their success in the past was due to outspending other sides and the fact they outspent 95 percent of clubs on the football pyramid.

It was completely bizarre that they have spent 35 million on Carroll, who has proved to be an abject failure compared to Aguero and yet they still have some sense of moral superiority with regards spending money

That's fair enough, we all have our reasons. That's season was ridiculously pro Liverpool.

Personally I don't have any feelings towards City. There's no real rivalry towards us, no real reason for any hatred.

Much like Tottenham. Liverpool V Tottenham is just another game.
