My nephew got Fifa 17 for xmas and I saw him for the first time since xmas day. He is a big city fan and was playing Fifa, he was City playing against the dippers.

City won 6 - 0 with super Kev scoring a hatrick hopefully an omen for tomorrow, but I will settle for a 1 - 0 city win

That's fair enough, we all have our reasons. That's season was ridiculously pro Liverpool.

Personally I don't have any feelings towards City. There's no real rivalry towards us, no real reason for any hatred.

Much like Tottenham. Liverpool V Tottenham is just another game.

Quarter finals of the carling cup a few years ago and a huge crash on the motorway and all the city fans were stuck on m62. I was nearly crushed trying to get in to anfield. Coppers laughing at us as we were half hour late and trying to get In. To the 1970s shit hole turnstiles . Yes that day I thought what a great club Liverpool is.

Fair enough mate. As you know when we discuss these issues we always discuss a club and its fanbase as one, knowing that there will be many different strands and not everyone fits into the stereotype. I would suggest you are one of those.

Its a shame though as like I said, I alway liked Liverpool, even though you battered us most seasons, but the 2014 season changed all that. The media hype, Brendans sly digs, and in my opinion the delusion amongst the fanbase of this entitlement Pool 'deserved the trophy'.

Long time ago but I remember refusing to eat my favourite chocolate bar 'majestic' as that was the headline in the papers after you beat us 4-0 in the cup quarter final 1988 and still I never disliked you and that included George Courtneys dodgy reffing circa 1991.

Lets hope it lives up to the hype tomorrow and make sure you pop on the thread tomorrow, win or lose, as it is always good to hear an alternative viewpoint.

These vile river rats are the most hypercritical, sanctimonious, two faced & blinkered murdering & robbing fuckers that ever breathed.

Abused our club & players when we showed them great respect & sympathy in 2014 then smashed a fans bus up.

Hillsboro all over tv again tonight but NOTHING about The HYSEL 39 !!

They deserve everything they get and I pray to all the gods of the world that we do em on Saturday night.

Thats bollocks. I have criticised Liverpool on here but I have nothing but respect and admiration for their 'fight' against the injustice of Hillsborough and the dignity shown by the families. I mentioned it but those who smashed the coach up were a minority of scallies who could attach to any club

It was the police laughing at me getting crushed trying to get in half hour late at the quarter final....

Are you suggesting that the media had an AGENDA frank?
Surely not?

I think they were pro-liverpool. I did understand the emotion of it, but it was bollocks, like in 2012 when our player/managers were overlooked for awards. Not everything is perfect and im not 'straightjacketed' by one opinion. In lots of instances I have criticised the press also.

Pro Liverpool and also anti City?
You're right about us being ignored in 2012, also the title winning season of 2014 when Uncle P was overlooked.
Your agendist conversion frank is as epic as Saint Paul's on the road to Damascus.

If I do believe in the Agenda maybe I can post on the Anthony Taylor thread I have been banned from for offering an alternative view.

I always thought players like Aguero have been overlooked but still do not believe in an agenda against us. I look at every situation on its merits

pigeonho would have been proud of you mate.

I do think we need to try some shots outside the box for this game. I'm sure Pep has done his homework and knows Mignloet (sp) and Karius aren't great so if we can get shots off with Yaya, KDB and Aguero who knows?

1. First line is hilarious. The same patronising shit United have come out with for years, whilst being completely consumed with rage every time we beat them......which is often. The reason I know it's bullshit is that I've been married into a family of red Scouse from Liverpool for 20 years. The spite reserved for City (not from my in-laws, but from many of their friends that I've met down the years) since the takeover has been absolutely clear cut, chiefly because of your own self-regard. Part of the brain of every Liverpool fan I know is stuck in 1983, 26 years without winning the league airbrushed from history, and they can't cope with the notion that City are now a bigger draw than they are (maybe not in terms of a global fanbase yet - although we're catching up fast - but certainly in terms of players and sponsors). You've only got to look at the hysterical overreaction to Raheem Sterling joining us to realise that. John Barnes, John Aldridge, Jason McAteer, Phil Thompson, they were on speed dial on Sky and Talkshite for about 3 months afterwards, bitching and whining and encouraging the faithful in the notion that it was an incomprehensible outrage that anyone should not want to play for Liverpool, that Sterling was motivated solely by greed and so on and so on, and generally fuelling the animosity that now exists. Ignore Sterling on Saturday and I might be able to accept that the game is a B lister for you, but you won't. You'll all boo, get bug eyed with rage and turn Klanfield into a bear pit. Whatever, the rags I'll give you and maybe Everton, even though the game itself is an annual non-event, but Arsenal, Chelsea? Yeh, right.

2. Second line. You're quite correct. The way we play is a perfect fit for the way you play, which is why you beat us so often. Similarly, you can't cope with the way United play, but we can.

3. You can't have watched Fernandinho very often if you think he's slow.

4. I didn't see Joe Allen or any other Liverpool player bullying Ya Ya at Wembley last year. He ran the show. Granted in the league game at the Etihad he was a lazy, disinterested disgrace, but now he's got a manager who's taken a hard line with his weight and attitude, I doubt you'll be seeing the old Ya Ya on Saturday
Doffs cap.
