They are at home and we haven't beat them at Anfield since 2004. 12 years...let that sink in. Despite us beating Hull 3-0 last week, the result was extremely flattering to us and I thought we won more so because of Hull's mistakes rather than our ability. If we had gone a goal down to Stoke, we would make it so hard for ourselves to come back to draw the game, never mind win yet you saw how Liverpool just blitzed them apart. Sorry to say but Liverpool will hammer us 3-0, 3-1, 4-1. Hope Pep and City proved me wrong. Happy New Year blues!

I just don't quite understand the media hype over this game. I mean, it's clearly not as important as the Dippers v the Rags. Everyone knows that is a much bigger game. I f***ing hate the BBC Scouse love in.

I don't know if it is just my perception, but the BBC just seems to have a massive downer on City. So many times they have mentioned how much money we have spent, but oh so often omitting to mention how much our opposition have spent. Like a couple of seasons ago when we played the Rags and IIRC the team costs were within a million or so of each other, but nobody on the BBC mentioned it. And it's not like the scousers haven't sp*nked a wad of cash on s*ite players over recent years(Andy Carrol).

I hope we tear them apart today as it would wipe the stupid grin off Klipperty's face. MOTD would be great. A whole load of Scouse loving pundits saying that the Dippers had an off day, and it was nothing to do with our players and tactics on the day. That would be a great end to the year, (obviously Chelski, the Rags and the Ars* to get beat) and hopefully a springboard for the run in to the end of the season.
 
Wow, a lot of fear on here.

We have better players, can't think of a single one of them I would have playing for us.

City just need to realise that and play with confidence, that is what will win the game.
 
Hopefully this is the first game in years we go into without thinking "it's only liverpool" because we're a cup final to those peasants.

C'mon Raz, skin that earnest nice guy left back of their's for 90 mins and bag yourself a hattrick.
 
Watched how we dominated Arsenal ... we will dominate Liverpool also. I think a lot of people don't have a clue how good we are.

We will dominate for sure - need to be clinical in putting away the clear chances at least and we should be good.

Arsenal didn't press us like Liverpool will. Our players have shown countless times that they crumble under high press. Liverpool are literally just a side who are fit as fuck and run directly at you and chase the ball down for as long as they can keep it up for. It's basic caveman football but highly effective in upsetting the opposition.

But I actually think we will play well in this game as it will have been the big game coming up since Arsenal with just one game in between. We will be fully prepared. And it's about fucking time we won at Liverpool!
