If Delph was fit I have no doubt he’d have played today, we aren’t exactly blessed with options and if we are to play Mendy at left back today, which funnily enough a £50mil player should be capable of playing in his preferred position, then he may as well give him some cover with Raz. Just one of those things that’s forced upon us, pointless playing Mendy and Sane on left.

No its a fair point and Peps hands are a bit tied by Delphs injury. However I think Mendy should be able to cope without us offering extra support, and switching our forwards around. Walker loses that support of Sterling but I think most people expect him to deal with it. Its a bit of a damming assessment of Mendy if we think he needs that extra support especially as Walker is up against their inform player.

I would have preferred Sané he is not phased by the big matches, and opposing players scared stiff of him.

He was invisible in the CL game.

I think Pep wants a player who will be involved constantly. Leroy does have a tendency to drift in and out of games.

Lol, it’s almost like they’re setting up Pep with those comments. If we get dicked, they will be criticising him saying Vinnie should have played. We all know he isn’t our best defender anymore. Maybe if we had a defensive manager he would be, but not with Pep.
