Why? It’s tactical. If Pep thinks the best way to exploit space will be a false 9, why is it staggering? He wants to either draw a centre back out to make space for Sterling to dart into. Or he wants the overload in midfield. He also wants a fluid front 3. All 3 can move wherever they want at times. It’s good.

I think Matt has form for this?

Typical pep setup.

The game is all about Liverpool playing the long ball down the lines and city being able to take advantage of the midfield cb’s.

Sterling, Cancelo , Zin and Foden need to have a good game for us to win IMO.
