Team picks itself for me

Ederson; Cancelo Stones Dias Laporte; Rodri Gundo Bernardo; Foden Jesus Sterling
Not sure if Pep will go with Laporte.
The only thing I do know is that the team never picks itself.
Pep often throws in a wobbler that were not expecting.

i really hope he doesnt fuck about with a winning team again , we need to get through the first twenty then pick them off , they are knackered, the pressure of being champions is not for eveyone ,ha

Favourable circumstances are all good but we need a little bit of luck this time, i, ll take a double deflected goal and a 0-1 win if that means breaking the voodoo.

Hope Laporte plays. He's one of the best defenders in Europe but he's been reported as wondering about his future at City on account of lack of game time. And please, Pep, don't play Walker, a penalty is likely to be the outcome if he's there facing Salah.

They are looking somewhat weary, especially later in games so as long as we can stem the initial tide I think the Cancelo role will really cause them some issues in this game.

Hopefully even Sterling wont have his usual shocker without having the liverpool fans in attendance, spitting bile at him. Hopefully...

Feeling positive about getting the 3 points but even a loss wouldnt be the end of the world but they are certainly there for the taking, just hope Pep decides to go for the jugular as a convincing win would crush their confidence for the reaminder of the season.

The team talk is already done. We had them come to our place and we had to clap them. And we gave them a battering. There's a huge rivalry between the two sets of players. You could see that when most of our team barely looked at them. 3pts on Sunday is them pretty much out of the title race and three losses in a row at Anfield in the league. There's so much incentive for us to go and get them.

I can't help but feel Pep will setup to not lose the game though. As it's away from home and a point is a lot better for us I just think this season he'll look to make sure we don't lose. Having said that, Burnley and Brighton did exactly the same and ended up winning so I think we'll do the same even with a more negative setup.

Brighton were still going and looking for the ball to the end ,if you take it to them that is your best plan , if he plays dinho and rodders it will blunt us and a point is all we will get

If we don’t win them on Sunday the way we are playing and their bad form with injuries, we will never win them at theirs in my opinion. Talk about a bogey ground...
Wonder will Kun be on the bench or too soon?!
Re Kun, no chance.

Unless Pep plays mind games and sticks him on the bench, even though he has no intention of using him.

Pick the strongest XI available, the squad players can play at Swansea a few days later.

I wonder whether Walker could play left-back and do a job on Salah? When he had to be totally on it in the 2019 season his defending was immense. I then think that it's almost 2 years on and he might not be able to avoid trying to put his foot in in the penalty box which is all Oliver and VAR need. My other thought is that Zinky has rarely let us down and has played very well recently but will he be exposed too much against the likes of Salah and Mane.......

He's our best bet though. Besides he's been really good lately. Mendy is awful and hasnt had any gametime. Perhaps Cancelo but then we lose his good work in midfield. We have to be careful with Salah. He's blowing hot and cold right now.
I’ve wondered about playing a right footer at left back to stop Salah cutting onto his left.

I agree I think he may play a double pivot with Rodri and Dhino in front of the defence similar to the team against Utd in the League.

If we let them anywhere into our box, they’ll be going down easier like there’s a sniper in the stadium.
Keep the ball, make them chase it, and watch the dipper victims squeal and cry about our boring football. These cnuts are dangerous, it would be ‘Typical City’ to get turned over by them after their shite performances.
Expose their poor defence and PUT THE CHANCES AWAY and they will open up by having to chase the game.
Oliver and VAR will still be our biggest concern. We MUST win this game, we have a few tough PL games ahead this month. Get this one bagged and we will be looking good to push on.

its a graveyard for us, the game i least like playing

2 wins since 1956 quite remarkable one of which was a late Anelka winner.

With no crowd and back to back defeats against two teams we've just beaten then we should be all out to get this monkey off our back.

Let them worry about us rather than the other away around.

A repeat of the performance after the guard of honour will be the order of the day.

I see pep going more defensive for at least 70 mins to see how the games going. He will be happy with a 0-0. They will raise their game as it’s us.

not going to be as easy as we think, they have nothing to loose so pressure on us

They have plenty to lose, 3 consecutive home defeats, and if they lose pressure on them for top 4, from Everton amongst others. It’s their last chance to stay relevant in the title conversation.

i hope you're right mate, i was there for the anelka goal sat in their main stand , nearly broke the wife's hand when he scored

We just have to play our game. If we keep the ball, get our passing game going, have Thiago chasing fresh air, then we can get access to their defence.

That win stopped the dippers from qualifying for the CL as well, which the City fans were quick to remind them of at the final whistle... although the poison between the 2 clubs didn't really exist back then
