Leaving aside the death of Pep's mother, the idea that a club having to take time out because 6 players and 5 staff got covid is a holiday is incredibly lacking in empathy.

The players were locked in their homes, getting tested to find out if they'd got a serious virus, and then waiting to find out if they'd given it to their families. When you find out your friends and teammates have it, you're worrying about them, especially the staff who might be 40+ years old and not elite athletes.

As a manager your whole job gets turned upside down. No training, no idea who is going to play or which of your staff will be available. Like Pep said, he went to Chelsea with 14 players. Aguero still isn't back yet because he got it shortly after the outbreak.

The reaction to Klopp's nonsense has been universal derision and criticism, but above all it shows an incredible level of self centred dishonesty to see a side get 2 extra days off (knowing they will have to make it up later) with all the afore mentioned baggage and refer to it a a 2 week holiday.
