Well after last night's games this is now a free hit.

We're on the top of our game and using little energy, they're producing nothing with loads of injuries and huffing & puffing.

Go for the throat lads it'll cause a media meltdown but a tactical foul by Fern to put the bottler out of action and it'll be game over ;)

Seriously, we should be looking at 3 points here if we turn up.

That's the team I'd put out too.

No centre forward with plenty of fluidity up top, false 9 "should" unhinge and pull their makeshift defence all over the place leaving plenty of space for Silva and Gundogan to pick passes through them.

That's the dream :)
I wouldn’t play FFS and Sterling in the same team against Liverpool. We can’t afford to carry 2 passengers in this game. So I’d agree with your team but Gabbi in for Sterling.

The Dippers are injury hit, in a bad run of form, physically knackered, mentally shot plus no crowd.

There's no better time to end the Anfield hoodoo and put the fuckers to the sword.

Ederson
Cancelo
Stones
Diaz
Laporte
Fernandinho
Silva
Gundo
Foden
Jesus
FFS

With possession play Cancelo in midfield and a back 3. Gabby and Foden to run at Liverpool’s back 4 causing mayhem. When out off possession revert to back 4 and flood the midfield pressing Liverpool hard. That should do it. 2-0.

While they have struggled against teams at the bottom end of the table, their results against the top sides have been ok. Certainly not going to be an easy game and Mane and Salah could still cause us plenty of problems.

We are better than them and we should be able to create plenty of chances against their makeshift defence but we really need to start being a bit more clinical in this game and the other tough fixtures coming up.

If we can just draw with Liverpool and Utd I think we have one hand one the title, nobody else will score enough against us to stop us. May seem like a good idea to go for it with their centre back situation but that allows more scope for the officials to impact the game, they'll be looking for any tumble in the box from Salah or Mane. Probably play out a lot like the 0-0 couple seasons ago, we'll be cautious in poss and keep it at the back, them not pushing too hard or breaking their shape. May be a chance to win it late on.

Turn up and play as we know we can. Think our players will be well up for this just as they were when the dippers were crowned last season and when they rocked up at our stadium like Billy big bollocks but got spanked 4-0

City will never have a better chance to win at Anfield, no crowd, no VVD, Gomez, Jota etc. Despite their injuries they will raise their game without a doubt, but this City side now have a very good defence and let's hope we can have another clean sheet and then we can focus on getting a win.

We just need to get in front against these lot
If we go one up we will pick them off at Will like last year
They are so open when they chase the game, Brighton could have scored four last night

I get where you're coming from but I don't agree :)

When we're in possession and the opposition's defence are set in formation/position both Sterling and Mahrez are ALWAYS doubled up on by a wing back and one of the midfield, this'll ALWAYS create a spare man if we can move the ball quickly enough (which we're doing seemingly with ease at the minute), both of them create a lot of chances indirectly (if you know what I mean) just by being on the pitch. IMO

Opinions differ and I get that.

Pep's got interesting decisions to make and (in all probability) none of us are going to be completely happy....

....unless we win :)

Got to take our chances in this game.
It will be different than usual due to no crowd and this help us settle and dominate.
Doubtless we will open them up but we have got to convert.
There will be times when their attack finds space and the usual script would be that they score with the 1st one.

Notice salah want zipping around like he was against West Ham and where is Mane? In hibernation? One thing for certain Mane Salah be back on Sunday running around at 100mph for 90 mins.
