Yeah and they've won fuck all.

So what is this, the worst refereeing conspiracy in the history of sport? Help them out just enough to not win a fucking thing?

They helped them get in the CL which was a huge financial relief for them.

Do you think that Oliver's performance at Anfield last season was down to incompetence? It was quite dodgy.

That said, Liverpool have enough quality to give us a game without help from Oliver. Norwich were ravaged by injuries when we played them at their ground and still beat us. It's football, everything is possible. Pep knows it and won't let us be arrogant and complacent. Too early to talk about the title.

I didn’t say that, did I? Why twist my post?

Zinchenko will not be pushing into midfield leaving Salah free on the right.

"Zin is pointless if you’re asking him to just defend all game"

He's not going to be asked to defend all game. He's probably going to be asked to tuck in as much as possible to help our midfield play around their press. Like he has been asked before, like Cancelo was asked a few months ago.

I’ll have you a bet it isn’t that back 4, he will not play that away at Anfield, not a prayer imo.

He will play either Cancelo or Laporte at left back.

Zin is pointless if you’re asking him to just defend all game, Salah would bum him all afternoon. Whoever plays left back won’t be pushing into midfield.

I can see Walker/Cancelo but just don't see it being Laporte at all.

I doubt it.

We're 3 points ahead with a game in hand, my "if we win the next 5" includes the United game, so that would mean 6 points with the game in hand if they won every game between now and the derby as well.

Personally I don't believe that the United team that's dropped 7 points in the last 5 games is going to win 4/4 against Everton, West Brom, Newcastle and Chelsea with FA Cup and Europa games sandwiched in between. 7 or 8 points out of 12 is what I expect.

Which means if we win the next 5 we would have a 10+ point lead and a game in hand over them.

I don't think people have fully realised how good we have been since November. We've picked up 35/39 points since Stones and Dias became the CB partnership. That's 100+ points a season form for a long time - 1/3rd of the league season. As long as we keep going for another month, no one is getting close to us.

Also please stop the referee conspiracy bullshit, if PGMOL were conspiring to give United the title why did they fuck them over against Sheffield United? The rags got a good goal disallowed and Sheffield United got a goal from the most blatant foul on a keeper you'll see. Why didn't they get gifted a penalty at Arsenal when they had half a dozen appeals? Same vs. Liverpool.
I agree with your entire post but especially the bolded part. It gets irritating that posters constantly moan about referees, VARs, PGMOL, etc. If there was corruption, our Villa goal could have been easily disallowed. The referees are just incompetent in this league but not corrupt.

Thats fine, we agree to disagree. I don’t think that Pep will have Zinchenko tuck in and push into midfield when he’s up against Salah.

If he was going to do Laporte, there's no way he would have let Klopp have a look at it for 90 minutes yesterday.

Yeah, I agree.

I guess we'll see with Zin, but I'm still convinced that that's the most likely decision for LB. Especially with the form they're in.

Granted it was a league cup game, but he played against Rashford a month ago. He was also picked away at Chelsea and Pep picked him out for praise after that match.

I don’t want it to be Laporte either. It’s the big and only problem for me with regards Sunday, as the way we’ve played recently is not what suits a game against this lot when we don’t have a decent left back at the club.

Our biggest problem away at Anfield has recently always been collapsing too early, them scoring a worldie etc and then getting another quick one, then game pretty much over.

I‘d be tempted to play false 9, go pretty much 4-6-0 for the first half hour when they will invariably play at as high a tempo as possible, then free us up assuming we get through that patch safely.

Walker at right back, Cancelo at left back if I was picking team.

You clearly havent watched them , the bullshit decisions , retaking pen , the pen after the game has ended , most pens i think in the last yr , the ridiculous help to get into fourth last season , they are shit but there they sre
The answer is the less they're in your penalty area the less chance of getting a penalty. Chop the cheating bastards down 40 yards out and unless Oliver is reffing take the yellow alternately

I don't think that past results or performances will have that big an impact without supporters in the stadium. I feel as though it'll be a much less emotional game than normal, but yes I definitely think that 460 is the way to go.

Who would you play in the false 9 if the midfield three is Gundo, Rodri, Bernardo ?
