The thing to remember about Liverpool is that they're as scared of us as we are of them, they just tend to hide their anxiety behind talking a big game and pretending to have the most fun any football fan has ever had whereas city fans don't hide their anxiety at all. If they get pumped tomorrow it'll be the beginning of the end of their greatest team in a generation, and if they beat us by a lot then there might be another trophy or two for them, this season or next (and for that reason will probably be a draw, because that puts off answering the question for another month or two). But they'll be bricking it tomorrow wondering which City turn up.

2 wins in the past 40 years sounds bad, but to be fair to City ... hardly anyone has won much at Anfield in that time (apart from Liverpool themselves, of course).

They always seem to have a good home record ... except this past week, of course !

Agree that tomorrow is our best opportunity there for years but TBH they won't have several players out. Apart from the centre backs I reckon it'll be a full strength team. It's their form which will give us the opportunity, not the team selection. Klopp has burned them out IMHO and we should go for the jugular in our usual measured & professional manner.
Correct. All this talk of injuries is a smokescreen. We’ve got 2 world class players missing from our starting 11 (KDB and Sergio) and they’ve got 1 world class player (Virgin van Dick) and one average player (Gomez) missing from their starting 11. They’re without 2 centre backs and we’re without the best midfielder in the world and statistically the greatest finisher in the history of the premier league. Of course, that won’t be the narrative in the media but they are the cold hard facts.

We should do these.
Blocked passing lanes, early yellow cards, and soft penalties may be the leveler.

We need to make sure the right City turn up.

It was brilliant wasn’t it
Up there with Silva doing United 6-1 as my all time favourite player performance in a single game. I'm sure if I had time to reflect on some others I could name some, but off the top of my head it'd be those two. They still get angry about him being small and squaring up to VVD, what a night.

Just have to be careful of their counter which as shown at west ham is lethal.
our game style will suit the dippers in that respect but at the same time they dont want us on the front foot as their defence is weak.
i think its going to be tight and probably a draw.
