They seem to always conceed first even in games they win/draw.

Usually they charge at us for 20 mins then try to hold on, can't see them doing that on Sunday, go behind to us and no team gets back in the game these days.

Suspect they'll play very deep FB's will stay back, try to flood the middle and hoof ball to the one/two players left upfront.

It'll be like playing 95% of Prem teams at home for us.

I always put City down to win, but teams simply don't win at Anfield ... no one's won there in the PL for 4 and a half years, other than that bizarre 6-game spell during covid / lockdown when there was no crowd screaming for fouls & penalties, and Liverpool lost them all.

Think the only downside of the scousers winning was Salah scoring that hatrick we know with goal scorers confidence is a big thing! Give him a sniff on Sunday he will score!

It's possibly coincidence that they do also lose there on those 'famous European nights' when presumably the overseas referees are insufficiently aware of their 'istree and entitlement.

...until they win.

Home records are nothing magical, they come and go. Their home record (with VVD) won't strike fear in our players. It will motivate them even more to put in a performance and win.

Nothing magical about it, but when you go there year after year and are continually shafted by referees then that goes some way to explaining it. The list would be extremely long if we went through the shocking refereeing decisions we have been on the end off at anfield over the last 5/6 years. I expect Sunday to be no different.

The sheer audacity of the way we play always leaves chances and even united managed to score against us so I think they'll probably score. So, as usual, it comes down to whether we finish our chances. I'm going for a 5-2 win. Haaland 2, Foden 2 and KDB.
