they will be more solid with Konate and Robertson. Anfield is a shit ground for us so I'm always wary. I think its a draw
I doubt Robertson's match fit yet, so i expect Foden to have his way with him (ooh missus).

The build up feels just like the derby to me, the msm talking them up, but they're ignoring the fact that we're the better team and they haven't played anyone like us yet. I think we'll be well up for this one, i know i am.

COME ON CITY!!!

Yes I agree. Its just like before the derby, we should hammer them but the closer it gets the more doubt creeps in. Hoping its a repeat :)

This fallacy that Liverpool have loads of injuries makes me laugh.
Diaz, TTA & Matip are out, that's it really, all the others who are out are not first team starters.
Diaz is a loss, TTA is wank and Konate replacing Matip means they lose fuck all at the back.
Almost myth isnt it.

I'd say our injury list from end of last season was a real crisis - just 1 CB left to play and he was playing through injury in the run up to the end of the season.... I dont even think pundits and fans were aware of it so little was said by pundits.... (Though I remember one pundit declaring we can just buy more CBs).

lfc really do engender so much sympathy, its unreal, not even sure if they like it. It certainly contributes to their failing to win shit because they always, always blame something else. refs, injuries, snow, Ramos, the French police, and never, never look at themselves.

They're where they are because they got injuries - They've had it previously, yet did they learn, did they go out and buy decent backups? Nah, it was a freak thing, not their fault, therefore cant happen again. LOL

wonderful optimism, i applaud you for it!!

i'll go for a nervy 1-2 win
Ha!

Just the facts (as I see it shemnel). :)

There is such a vast difference between the playing standards of the two teams. They obviously have talented individuals, but they are disjointed, inconsistent and lack the fluency required to win. A once solid and confident defence has become very vulnerable and leaking easy goals and the midfield is found wanting. I've been very impressed with Elliot, he has a bit of vision and is not afraid to run at players and make something happen, but he can't do it on his own. Nunez went there with a big reputation, but hasn't delivered like Haaland has. Who knows whether he will be good, bad or indifferent when he does settle.

Compare the midfield's of both teams and which one stacks up the strongest, because this is where the game will be won.

Of course they will be up for this and that alone can make the game unpredictable.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I can't see any other result based on what I have seen so far this season from both teams.

There weakness is there back line and midfield let them get in our final third with space they will hurt us!

Going for a 2-3
This is the problem. The more we have possession the more we press higher and higher up and then when we lose the ball they break on us with our defense out of position. We see that time and time again against lesser opposition and we usually get away with it - notwithstanding leaking goals sometimes.

We won't get away with it against those tossers. Everyone has to be 100% on their game and no stupid giving the ball away (and yes KDB, that includes you!)

The only title they won, they went virtually 100% injury and suspension free for their first 11 for the entire season. It was freakish. They then lose 1 player - van dyke - next season and were totally fucked, finishing 17 points behind us when we had a sub-standard season ourselves.

My worry is Pep will look at the possession and pass accuracy and play Grealish and Mahres who rarely gives it away but bring slow easy to defend football foden and Kdb lose possession more than most but they bring a lot more to the team..
