Ibrahimovic was 37 when Konaté made his debut for Leipzig.

I'm not sure you can compare him and Haaland!
As I said, not a direct comparison.

I was under the assumption that he played against Ibrahimovic in a Liverpool shirt and the media expected the Swede to have the game his own way, when in reality it was the opposite. Apologies if I am incorrect.

Of course a 37/40 year old loses his pace etc, but he doesn't lose his guile, positioning and game reading. It could be argued that Konate's inexperience could balance that out that lack of pace.

Regardless, Konate looks a useful recruit.

Quite a lot of scousers in work not too hopeful of their chances.

Like I've said to most people over recent weeks. With Haaland on the pitch and Foden, Bernardo, De Bruyne etc...well adjusted to playing with him, I think we're good for 3 goals every game. So as it stands, at least in my head, teams are needing 4 goals to beat us.

Don't think any of that changes Sunday.

Surprised so many people are adamant about putting Akanji at RB for this game. Yes, he's done really well but not versus a side whose attack is as potent as Liverpool's. Think he limits us far too much from an attacking standpoint as well.

Your choice would be gomez then?

Personally, I'd be playing Akanji at centre half and Ake at left back but that would give the same problem you mentioned

Don't think throwing Gomez out there is as crazy as it sounds. Let's see if he sinks or swims. He certainly provides an overlap for Grealish which I think is important. Almost certainly Pep won't play him though.

I'd go: Cancelo-Dias-Laporte-Ake

Stopped reading after the first 7 words I don't believe you

Score early and often.
Beyond that, this would be luvly: Foden scores to start it off, Haaland gets on the end of one of KDB's curling passes that are impossible to defend against, then Bernie makes it three and celebrates in front of the Klop by miming drinking a coffee. Just before half-time Ederson comes out to clear a long through ball, takes it a few steps and sees Allyson off his line and puts it in the net from 60 yards.
