Agree with the defenders but I’d have played Gvardiol instead of Lewis
I'd have played Morse instead of Lewis.

Can't understand why Pep didn't bring Dias on during the week as a sub and starts today but brought KDB on and now doesn't start today.

Kevs gone in the summer isn't he, I can't see the club giving him a new contract if he can't stay fit or play 90 minutes consistently, with his high wage as well.
He should be.
Time waits for no man.
Even when fit he ain’t the same player, though he can always do something magical in a moment, it’s time unfortunately.
We need refreshing throughout the squad.

Biggest bonus is having Dias back. Immediate improvement.

Walker’s form has been really poor but historically he’s been really good in these sorts of fixtures.

Bernardo normally turns up vs them. Nunes gives us threat in transition. Haaland will fancy himself even more with no Konate.

Don’t think that Liverpool midfield is impressive. It’s physical yes but has no technicality

Ederson and Gvardiol being dropped are good calls.

De Bruyne not starting is an odd one and outside of fitness the only reason I could think of was that he turns the ball over so often and we can't defend so would lead to countless counter attacks. Only fathomable reason.

Would have liked to see Savinho over Rico too.

A no less important reason for not picking KDB is that he isn't fit enough to be useful in defence. With him and Haaland on the pitch, we are like a man down when defending. That's not the best thing at Anfield.

Let's hope dropping Gvardiol is the right decision, but I'm not confident about that.

Lewis in midfield is a big call, too. Not too confident about that as well.
