My (potentially mad) prediction for tomorrow and the rest of the season is that Pep plays park the bus, shit on a stick football

It is mad and won't happen. Pep would prefer to get fired than to give up on what has made him the best.

Pep's way of being more defensive is by controlling spaces and avoiding risks going forward. It's not the same us parking the bus, as we won't defend in a deep block. Loosely speaking, he may use a middle block. He did it at Arsenal last season where we lost due to a late deflected goal.

Players who are bound to start in midfield and/or attack if fit enough: Gundo, Bernardo, Nunes (running power, work rate, pace and good connection with Haaland) and Haaland. Options for the other two spots: Foden (say, 90%), Savinho (40%), Grealish (40%), KDB (25%), Doku (5%), provided Lewis doesn't start in midfield. So, it's Foden and one from Grealish and Savinho. We need luck to get a result, unless we are at our very best.

This is not tactics you can use once, without enough experience and preparation. Small and Mourinho teams have practiced it long enough to learn how to use such tactics efficiently. We are who we are, win or lose.

I’d take that now. I think we’ll get smashed. If Gundogan is tasked with anything remotely defensive against anyone moving faster than a sloth or Ederson is required to do that weird thing where people get in the way of the ball going in the net then we’re fucked.

Some people might suggest the pressure is off as not many expect us to get a result but I dont buy that, the pressure is as high as ever today, if we dont get a result here, the season is done at the beginning of december and our 4 year reign ends. I don't expect a result in truth, i dont think pep will or can change the system to get us a result but I do expect to see some pride and an almighty fight to not lose our crown. Nothing less is acceptable.
