This game is going to be grim. Id buy a 2-0 defeat right now tbh if I could.

Remember when they were missing Van Dijk and we banjoe'd them 4-1 in 2023 at the Etihad - theyll be out for revenge.

Id have a back 4 of Akanji, Dias, Ake, Gvardiol

Id sling Stones as well in front of that and hope our defenders avoid simply gifting goals away. Things are going to get worse before they get any better - the club needs at least 2 players coming in immediately in January to rescue the season.
I'd be tempted to play Ortega.... alongside Ederson

Maybe they will go way overboard again and damage the coach.
We could then refuse to play and see what happens.
Absolutely, if they damage our coach we would have grounds for intimidation (outright terror) before kick off. For Liverpool's sake it would be a completely brainless action when their football should show where they are at right now. Let's hope sane minds prevail.

I can agree with most of that for Sunday, but, Nunez running Madrid ragged tonight?
You watched a different game to me my friend.
He's dogshit and I definitely hope he plays.
I’m not saying he finished well, but he pulled them around, pushed them deep, and could have had a few. Granted, he’s a rich man’s poor Haaland, but the movement, combined with Salah & Diaz on the wings caused all kinds of problems for Madrid.

Glass half empty thinking is that we will lose two or three nil.....

Glass half full thinking is if we keep it tight and somehow we are still level with 15 or 20 minutes to go, do the Dippers go into "do not lose" mode ? A point for them isn't a bad result and keeps us 8 points behind them. And I'd happily take a point right now
